Arthroscopic Microfracture (Femoral Condyle) Rehab Program
Phase 1: 0-6 Weeks
TDWB (20% – 30%) with crutches
Brace:
none
ROM:
CPM device 6-8 hrs per day. Begin at 1 cycle/min and 0° – 40°
Strengthening: passive stretching/exercises, quad/hamstring isometrics
Phase 2: 6-12 Weeks
WBAT (wean from crutches)
ROM:
full and pain-free
Strengthening: progressive active strengthening
Phase 3: 12+ Weeks
FWB w/ normal gait pattern
ROM:
full
Strengthening: return to full activities, including cutting, pivoting, and jumping
